Automotive photography is my most recent obsession as I pursue other hobbies in related fields
I’ve always had a focus on framing, which manifested early on in Landscape photography. In more recent years this focus has moved onto subject photography, in particular automotive photography. The distinction between a technically perfect picture and a beautiful photo is what drives this newer passion, showing inanimate curves and lines that inject life into static objects and settings; telling a story of the clash between form and function that leads to the creation of a product adhering and bending to both, or in some cases failing to uphold either. The tale of a collaborative wrestle between designers, engineers and executives that can be summed up in only a few perfectly framed images and viewed with a critical eye is a beautiful skill that I strive to improve towards perfection.
